Studio Red Dust specializes in exhibition quality photographic and art reproduction printing using the highest quality technology and materials available today. We take great care and pride in the work we produce and are well regarded for our high quality fine art printing. We prefer to take our time using our years of expertise to work with your images to bring out their best attributes and adjust and enhance them in accordance to the paper/canvas choice to be printed to. We don’t offer endless choices of cheap papers and finishes. We offer a limited range of professional quality products that work and work well.
Our quality American made acid-free, neutral pH coated canvas once printed is finished with 3 coats of sprayed lacquer which enhances appearance, fade resistance and handling ability. We then custom build our own stretcher frames in 20, 32, and 42mm depths ensuring optimum quality in strength, fit and finish. We also have a range of timber edge and aluminium frames (inc glass and matting if required) that can be supplied and fitted to add that final finishing touch if so desired.

Print Quality, Sizes and Lightfastness: All Prints and canvases are produce on our high end inkjet printers at sizes up 64 inches wide at 2,880 dpi. We use only ‘Ultrachrome’ permanent pigment inks to achieve the highest range of colour fdelity and saturation. Lightfastness testing has predicted an indoor display life of between 75 and 100+ years depending on the paper/canvas used.
Art Reproduction & Colour Matching: Our calibrated systems, skill and attention to detail usually ensure prints of higher gamut, saturation and clarity to traditional printing methods. For colour critical applications such as art reproduction and edition work a colour proof is essential at a cost of $25.00 and critical colour matching at a $25.00 per 15 minutes.
Resolution and File Size: RAW, TIFF or PSD fles at a minimum of 240dpi are preferred but we can print from high quality JPEG’s just not as large. If you would like us to use our expertise to edit, resize and sharpen your image then it is best to include your original fle as well as your sample image.
